Manager overall of the Satellite Base 12, which included overseeing three segments, ie. Wireline,
Testing, and Completions.
Ensuring all safety systems, QHSE procedures. ie Permit to Work, Lifting, Environmental
Standards.
Site Visits from Clients, preparation of Reports. Dealing with all queries and requests promptly.
Maintaining daily Maintenance Schedules and Quality Control Checks for Offshore / Onshore
equipment and Units. Reporting back to and liaising with Clients, Head Office and suppliers,
together with verbal and written preparation of Reports.
Continual improvement in client non profitable time, and Service Quality.
Reaching targets and quarterly objectives.
Logistics, and Stock Control.
Supervision of Staff, prioritizing day to day work schedule and planning, together with Training
and Development of Technicians to meet training Targets and objectives.
PERSONAL STATEMENT :
I have 39 years of time served experience as a Mechanic / Mechanic Manager gained in
employment with Triumph Business Systems, (1978 to 2001) and Schlumberger Global Oilfield
Services (2001 to 2015 redundant due to downturn). I have a varied working environment, firstly
as a Mechanic Supervisor working with a Transport department which included Heavy Goods
Vehicles and light motor vehicles.
More recently in 2001 I began working in the Oil and Gas Industry. Firstly, with the Seismic
section of Western Geco in the Sahara Desert, Libya. Working at this location involved all aspects
of maintaining a seismic crew, productions /operations together with a Base camp and crew that
changed constantly due to camp moves and environment which was challenging and a rewarding
experience.
Following completion of the Seismic contract I was transferred to Schlumberger Wireline services
at Libya 103 Base, as a Supervisor Mechanical Technician overseeing the complete management
of the workshop, prioritizing to a tight schedule and keeping equipment operational, liaising with
Clients and personnel. Meeting all QHSE and safety requirements.
I then transferred to Labuan, Malaysia as the Mechanic Supervisor for base and offshore
operations. Working on offshore platforms and also at the Base for maintenance of units. (please
see below for Labuan, Malaysia)
In 2008 I was then transferred to Kellyville Training Centre in the USA as the Supervising Lead
Mechanic dealing with work issues and advising personnel, Trainers, Students.
Kellyville Training center: Responsible for the day to day running of workshop and attached
practical student training facilities which included segments from Well Services, Wireline and
Driver Training operations.
My other duties included being responsible for ordering spare parts, crane operations, and
maintenance schedules in Fleet Assistant. As part of my Objectives I achieved Zero down time for
the equipment used in KTC for each segment ie. Well services, Wireline and Coil Tubing, Driver
training.
In 2010 I was promoted and returned to Labuan Malaysia as the Mechanic Manager for Labuan,
and Brunei.
Schlumberger Oilfield Services: Labuan WP
Some general day to day duties and repairs that have arisen:-
 Fault finding and repair of OSLC - F logging trucks
 Adjustment to throttle delay on V8-92T GM Detroit engine
 Rebuilt Perkins and Detroit Diesel Engines .
 Removed and stripped down and repaired fault on Denison 3 stage pump
 Removed and stripped down and repaired fault on P16 pump on Nitrogen pump unit
 Carried out Stem 2 on CPS and fitted new on-off system for Alemite pump operation
 Removal / repair / fault finding on hydraulic systems
 Removal of Torque Converter and change fibre ring on Kenworth
 Carried out Stem 2 on bulk compressors, banana trailers, and various other units.
 Electrical fault finding and repair, All basic procedures like drive lines, air brake systems,
oil seals, tyres and rims.
 Change axle shaft and wheel shafts on front Kenworth
 I hold : United Kingdom fork lift License, Ministry of Transport Inspectors Certificate
training:
 Qualified Driver trainer, also trained in desert survival, sand dune driving, Explosives
transportation
 Early management of Sever trauma training first aid and extraction of patient with spine
board and stretcher.

Following completion of the Seismic contract I was transferred to Schlumberger Wireline services at Libya 103 Base, as a Supervisor Mechanical Technician overseeing the complete management of the workshop, prioritizing to a tight schedule and keeping equipment operational, liaising with Clients and personnel. Meeting all QHSE and safety requirements. I then transferred to Labuan, Malaysia as the Mechanic Supervisor for base and offshore operations. Working on offshore platforms and also at the Base for maintenance of units. (please see below for Labuan, Malaysia) In 2008 I was then transferred to Kellyville Training Centre in the USA as the Supervising Lead Mechanic dealing with work issues and advising personnel, Trainers, Students. Kellyville Training center: Responsible for the day to day running of workshop and attached practical student training facilities which included segments from Well Services, Wireline and Driver Training operations. My other duties included being responsible for ordering spare parts, crane operations, and maintenance schedules in Fleet Assistant. As part of my Objectives I achieved Zero down time for the equipment used in KTC for each segment ie. Well services, Wireline and Coil Tubing, Driver training. In 2010 I was promoted and returned to Labuan Malaysia as the Mechanic Manager for Labuan, and Brunei. Schlumberger Oilfield Services: Labuan WP Some general day to day duties and repairs that have arisen:-  Fault finding and repair of OSLC - F logging trucks  Adjustment to throttle delay on V8-92T GM Detroit engine  Rebuilt Perkins and Detroit Diesel Engines .  Removed and stripped down and repaired fault on Denison 3 stage pump  Removed and stripped down and repaired fault on P16 pump on Nitrogen pump unit  Carried out Stem 2 on CPS and fitted new on-off system for Alemite pump operation  Removal / repair / fault finding on hydraulic systems
  • 6.  Removal of Torque Converter and change fibre ring on Kenworth  Carried out Stem 2 on bulk compressors, banana trailers, and various other units.  Electrical fault finding and repair, All basic procedures like drive lines, air brake systems, oil seals, tyres and rims.  Change axle shaft and wheel shafts on front Kenworth  I hold : United Kingdom fork lift License, Ministry of Transport Inspectors Certificate training:  Qualified Driver trainer, also trained in desert survival, sand dune driving, Explosives transportation  Early management of Sever trauma training first aid and extraction of patient with spine board and stretcher.
