• A part of the Executive team - from the start up of HEMPEL’s
joint venture in Hong Kong/China. First as Technical Manager
with responsibility for factory, production, laboratories and
technical service.
• From 1994 promoted to Deputy General Manager with added
responsibilities for costing and a number of commercial
activities, as well as being in charge when the Managing
director was out of office.
• Participated in all aspects of developing the Company
including design and construction of a new major coatings
factory in Kunshan, China and the acquisition of additional
two factories.
• During the time in Hong Kong the Company grew from a very
small operation to a group with four factories and more than
600 employees.

• 1986 appointed from engineer to Technical Service Manager
for all painting activities (Marine and Protective). Responsible
for “on site” Technical Service and preparation of coating
specifications - covering Denmark and all exporting areas.
