Senior R&D Chemist V, (2013 to 2015)
Provided R&D leadership for new product development including fire retardant polymers, inkjet binders, and floc adhesives.
Responsible for equipment recommendations for labs, pilot plants and main facility with project budgets of $100K to $2M.
 Completed development and scale-up of new-to-company process for manufacturing ink jet binder and assisted in
product launch to market including polymer specification for application, sustainable materials and pilot plant procedures.
 Created polymer for surgeon’s gloves identifying non-allergenic materials for improved elasticity and reduced hand fatigue.
 Conducted manufacturing troubleshooting for urethane process by verifying raw material samples for inconsistencies and

Managed R&D process and patent approval for new product development. Worked collaboratively with plant management,
engineers and operators identifying manufacturing issues, scaling up new products, and implementing new processes.
 Aided in the design and equipment specification needed when transferring product line from old manufacturing facility to
new one ensuring product consistency and improved manufacturing efficiencies resulting in reduced costs.
 Reviewed processes being used for transfer of product line to a new location. Aided plant in first year in producing over

 Scaled up new-to-company product and process to a toll manufacturer in Japan, going directly from lab scale to
commercial scale without issue.

 Developed and refined a test for amount determination of a hazardous residual monomer, ensuring its elimination from
