J.Ricardo Mejía S. is a visual design thinker with over 10 years of experience in strategic design, product design, user experience design, and research. He has a PhD from Delft University of Technology, where he is researching approaches to co-create future scenarios. He has worked in both the private sector for design agencies and industries, and the public sector advising government ministries in Colombia. Currently he is a lecturer and researcher at Delft University of Technology and various universities in Colombia.

I am an autonomous visual-design thinker with more than ten years of experience using various types of strategic, creative, product-design,
experience-design, and user-research techniques. I appreciate my own aptitude to manage complex problems in research & vision, strategy &
concept, design & development and planning & management of Product Service Systems. My main interest is the creation of innovative projects,
products, services and brands advising corporations (public, para-public and private) in different levels. I firmly believe in the need of permanent
updating, creative thinking techniques, empathy, team work and constant experimentation.
Nowadays I am a doctoral fellow at IDStudioLab / TUDelft developing the project #FutureThroughDesign. It focuses on
approaches/methods/techniques/tools that can bring such a user-centered in the process to co-create vision to a group of collaborating parties
regarding future scenarios.
