My position within this company was Project Engineer. My main responsibilities included:
design, schedule development and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical
activities relating to the projects. Furthermore, I was also in charge of performance
management of vendors, and had the responsibility for inter-discipline coordination and overall
quality control of the work; ensuring that projects were completed according to project plan.
From a technical point of view I gained strong knowledge regarding mechanical installations
(e.g. air conditioning, ventilation, water drainage, plumbing and fire protection design) and
electrical installations (e.g. transformation centres, High, medium and low voltage, design of
electrical switchboards and lighting design).

I worked together with Albandi’s HSE department to complete a thorough assessment and
review of their manufacturing facilities, in order to meet all the relevant HSE regulations and
standards in an EU country. This project was submitted as my degree final thesis, and it was
awarded by The City Council of Gijon at its annual Final Thesis awards in the category of
Industrial Safety.
