I am a keen photographer, spending many hours exploring and photographing historic London. I
was even lucky enough to win a national amateur photography competition, held by Great
Western Railway, with a shot of the Dawlish coastline. I am also an avid collector of costume

EMPLOYMENT
PROGRAMME COORDINATOR | INFORMA AUG 2016 – PRESENT
In early August 2016, I joined Lloyds Maritime Academy - a subsidiary of Informa. I progressed quickly
and within six months I was successfully running around thirty courses across two academies. During
this time, my day to day responsibilities included: managing student assignments, processing student
applications and liaising with course authors. I was also involved in editing modules before they were
released to students. This played to my existing skills, as I had already formatted using a house style
and researched images / bibliography sources whilst at The London Magazine. I became passionate
about the project and now wish to develop my editorial skills further within Informa. For a reference,
please contact: Ted Bailey (Head of Digital Learning) on 07717 894099
UNIVERSITY OF CHICHESTER | LIBRARY ASSISTANT JAN 2014 – APR 2015
Whilst completing my degree at Chichester, I had a part time job as an assistant at the University’s
academic library. Having interned with Cornwall County Council, I felt comfortable in my role and
happily interacted with senior staff, students and the public. The position allowed me to develop my
research skills, as I worked with E-journals, digital catalogues and reproductions of out-of-print
books. For a reference, please contact: Ruth Clark (Librarian) at r.clark@chi.ac.uk
THE LONDON MAGAZINE | MAGAZINE INTERN JAN 2015
In early 2015, I interned at The London Magazine, working alongside the marketing and editorial
departments of the magazine. During this time, I produced promotional materials for the annual
short story competition in Photoshop and these were sent to over 250 higher education institutions.
I also began to develop a working relationship with authors, liaising with them about submissions
prior to publication. Since the internship, I have continued to be in contact with the company and
was offered a full-time position, despite not having left university. For a reference, please contact: Dr
Steven O’Brien (Chief Editor) at steven.obrien@port.ac.uk
CHALLENGE M.E l SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAGINER JUNE 2012 – AUG 2013
During my late teens, I helped to manage the Challenge M.E triathlon, a local event that supported
the charities Action for M.E and TYMES Trust. My role was largely media based, as I developed
advertising to be posted on social media outlets and wrote blogs on WordPress. In doing this, I
developed both my editorial and Adobe Suite skills, which I utilised throughout my career. For a
reference, please contact: Jenifer Brown (nee Flynn) (Event Founder) on 07853 277861 or
flynnjenifer@gmail.com
CORNWALL COUNTY COUNCIL l INTERN JUNE 2008
At fifteen, I completed a brief internship at my local library. Though my placement lasted just two
weeks, I found the experience deeply fulfilling as I was able to help my local community whilst
pursuing my love of literature. It was during this time that I developed my time management skills
as my day-to-day responsibilities included: interacting with the public, dealing with various queries
and delivering items to various local organisations. For a business reference, please contact: Gillian
Saunders (Head Librarian) at libraries@cornwall.gov.uk
