Keith Mackie has over 35 years of experience in seismic exploration projects, primarily in marine environments. He has expertise in project management, contract preparation, acquisition quality control, and supervision of 2D, 3D and 4D seismic surveys globally. Notable experiences include managing numerous 3D and 4D streamer projects in various regions as well as long-term ocean bottom cable projects in Papua New Guinea and the Caspian Sea. Currently, he works as an independent quality control manager and project manager, leading QC on recent projects in the Celtic Sea, South Africa, Guyana, Greece, and more.

PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
I have spent most of my working career in oil exploration and I have over 35 years
experience in seismic exploration on marine and shallow water projects and also some time
on land crews. Since 1980 I have been employed on project management, contract
preparation and evaluations, as well as acquisition QC. I was also a Director of the UK
based consultancy group ARGUS Geophysical Consultants Limited until I joined RPS
Energy/Hydrosearch in January 2001.
As a 3D and 4D Project Manager, I have been responsible for contract and tender
preparation and evaluation, supervising operations in office and, when required I am happy
to be out on the crew doing the acquisition QC. I cover all stages of seismic projects from
planning, contract preparation, tender evaluation, project supervision, to completion and
close out of the project. This includes reporting to upper management on HSE, technical,
budget and contractor performance.
Experience includes 3D and 4D streamer in the North Sea, West Africa and Australia, long
term OBC in Papua New Guinea and on a Russian crew in the Caspian Sea, 4D vibroseis
land operations in Syria, shallow water projects in Tunisia and Indonesia, one year in India
and being held hostage in Nigeria.
Currently studying for International NEBOSH certificate.
