Hi there, my name is Ciaran O’Hanlon. I’m 25 years old from the west of Auckland with a huge passion for my city and my country. For the last 6 years I have based myself in hospitality working as Concierge and as a Bar tender at the Langham hotel, to now Chief Concierge at the Pullman Auckland. My experience in managing and working with teams, as well as focussing on my own individual goals at work, has really helped me develop my career during my time working in hotels.
I am a highly motivated, positive person who is always ready for new challenge in life. Always trying my hardest to make a friendly, encouraging environment for others as well as myself and I don’t let the little things get to me.
In my personal time I enjoy exploring the surroundings of Auckland and what New Zealand has to offer with my partner of 4 years Eugenia Marquez. I have a background in music playing in bands and recording music shortly before my place in hospitality
Since the start of 2012 I began my journey with the Pullman Hotel coming on part-time as I was also currently seeking study at AUT University in Auckland City. Shortly in to my first 6 months at the Pullman Auckland I found myself drawn to the style of work the Pullman offered and I soon fell in to the role of Concierge role and based myself full time at the Pullman. After 18 months I came on full-time at the Pullman assuming the title of Chief Concierge which I have proudly still hold and continue to work hard for.
I enjoy conversation, making people laugh and keeping them interested with humour and good times. I hope to try my hand at all aspects within the area of hospitality to gain as much understanding as I can.
