Amanda Williams is seeking a PhD in social psychology. She has a BA in psychology from Sam Houston State University with honors and a MA in general psychology also from Sam Houston State University. Her thesis examined the roles of religiosity and disgust sensitivity in attitudes toward sexual promiscuity. She has received several academic honors and awards and has served in leadership positions in honor societies. She has conducted research and presented scholarly works at several conferences. Her experiences include research assistantships examining relationships, person perception, and religious attitudes. She is a member of several professional organizations and has received human subjects training.
