- About My research focus is better understanding psychological and environmental influences on member engagement in mutual-help and environmental advocacy communities. As an instructor, I believe that engaged and critical students can move beyond popular and media knowledge to think independently and creatively about the mind and behaviors. I actively work to promote such engagement and critical thinking skills both inside and outside the classroom.
