Memento Park is an open-air museum in Budapest that contains over 40 large statues that were removed from public areas in Hungary after the fall of communism in 1989. The statues include large sculptures of Lenin, Marx, Engels and other communist leaders. An architect designed the park to preserve these monumental statues and remind visitors of Hungary's communist past. It has become a popular tourist attraction where people can view propaganda art and monuments that were once prominently displayed throughout Hungary.
