Countercultures Beat generation --  a term used to describe a group of American writers who came to prominence in the 1950s, and the cultural phenomena that they wrote about and inspired  2.  Cyber-culture --  the culture that has emerged, or is emerging, from the use of computer networks for communication, entertainment and business.

Generation-X --  the group of people who were born between the early 1960s and the middle of the 1970s, who seem to lack a sense of direction in life and to feel that they have no part to play in society X 4. Hippies --  someone who rejects the established culture; advocates extreme liberalism in politics and lifestyle  5. New Age --  C onnected with a way of life that rejects modern Western values and is based on spiritual ideas and beliefs, astrology, etc.
