London has many museums, art galleries, and is a center for classical and popular music. British cuisine includes dishes like fish and chips and Sunday roasts. 18. DANCES AROUND THE WORLD
• Ballet Dance : is a type of performance
dance, that originated in the Italian
Renaissance. The early portions preceded
the invention of the proscenium stage
and were presented in large chambers
with most of the audience seated on tiers
or galleries on three sides of the dance
floor.
• Pendet Dance : is a traditional dance
from Bali, Indonesia, in which offerings
are made to purify the temple or theater
as a prelude to ceremonies or other
dances. Pendet may be performed
intermittently throughout the day and
late into the night during temple feasts.
The original Pendet dance is performed
by 4-5 young girls (before their puberty)
in temple yards. Pendet dancers bring
flowers in small Bokor (silver bowls
containing flowers in a ceremony). They
spread the flowers around the temple.
This dance is a symbol of welcoming God
in some ritual ceremonies in Bali.

• Bharatanatyam Dance : is a
classical Indian dance form

Bharatanatyam is a traditional
dance-form known for its grace,
purity, tenderness, and
sculpturesque poses. Today, it is
one of the most popular and
widely performed dance styles
and is practiced by male and
female dancers all over the world.
