Our Director of Leadership Amy Gallimore and many wonderful clients and colleagues hail from TN. Nashville is a regular host to amazing state, national, and international leadership events for such dynamic organizations as 4-H and FBLA. We organized logistics for a White House event hosted by the First Lady of the United States that was a turning point for our organization.

CTSO Advocacy: Oregon Success Story
During 2012-13 Oregon's Career Technical Student Organizations (e.g. DECA, FBLA, SkillsUSA, HOSA, FCCLA) partnered with industry and CTE community to champion the largest increase in state CTE and CTSO funding in history.
This overview presented at the DECA State Association Management Conference in Atlanta highlights the advocacy journey, approaches taken, lessons learned and key insights for all who champion important causes like CTE and CTSOs.

Happy Birthday FBLA-PBL!
While FBLA was founded in 1942, the journey to become the largest and oldest organization dedicated to creating future business leaders actually begins in the 1930's.
Go back in time with this special tribute to FBLA-PBL. You'll find out neat facts about the Great Depression/WWII era that FBLA was founded in. You'll learn about some of the many milestones and memories from the association's proud past. You'll even get to meet famous alumni and leaders who have contributed to 7 decades of success.
See if you can name all the famous American's born in 1942! See what dues were back in the day. Discover more about Dr. Forkner, Dr. Miller, Ms. Buckley, and even our first National President.
It's a fun walk through time seeing how each generation of FBLA-PBL leaders have continuously led the organization to greater and greater services and achievements.

1) CTSOs have an economic impact of $10 billion per year and help 80% of members find jobs. They also help 55% of members continue education.
2) CTSOs teach important skills like leadership, teamwork and communication that help members succeed in careers and life. Famous people like Coach John Wooden emphasize playing to your potential.
3) The document offers tips for strong CTSOs including starting small, using diverse members, social media and resources from state and national officers to help groups grow and allow members to reach their potential.

Leading with Legos by TeamTRI
This document discusses how establishing shared values can help groups work together effectively like Lego bricks. It provides examples of Lego's history and popularity. The document then explains how identifying a group's core values and their priority order before operating can unite members and guide decision making, just as the compatibility of Lego bricks allows for endless creative building. Values are presented as visual and something that can turn "me" into "we". Examples are given of value-driven leadership from Disney, Google, Starbucks and others. The document encourages determining one's values as an organization to drive commitment and connection between members.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
