Technology has significantly advanced in many areas over time. It now plays a key role in healthcare by keeping transplant patients alive and enabling their bodies to accept new organs. However, artificial intelligence still poses risks if too much control is given as depicted in films where AI systems decide humanity must be eliminated. While the internet enables convenient activities like bill pay, security risks remain from identity theft or hacking so antivirus software is important. Overall, technology has transformed areas like communication, transportation and entertainment by developing innovations like smartphones, GPS, streaming services and more.

There have been plenty of cases where someone
has need a heart transplant or a new kidney
because they shut down or worse. So the way
technology comes into play is how it keep the person
alive and even how it can suppress the bodies
immune system so it will be more likely to accept the
new foreign body part. To me this is a really huge
deal it can really be either life or death with this kind
of stuff so we are very luck to be able to use
technology so efficiently.

Robots and AI (artificial intelligence) have been
around for a while. They are a good thing to have
but in more small amounts. By this I mean that you
can’t give a lot of control to an AI. Just watch the
new Avengers Age of Ultron movie. It’s about an AI
that thinks the only way to fix humanity is it get rid of
it and start over again which isn’t the best choice for
us but in almost every movie with an AI that is always
the end result. Every. Single. Time.

Now in modern society we can do so much over the
internet even pay our bills and transfer funds. This is a
really what I would say ‘neat’ feature. I am not a
huge fan because of the risk that is involved with
doing that. I don’t wanna take the risk of having my
money stolen or even my identity which really would
be worse but in the end you just need a god anti
virus software and you will be just fine.

Nuclear power is a really good thing. It is a cleaner source of
power and is good for the Earth and all that. But it does come
with some bad sides. If a reactor was to have a melt down it can
make places uninhabitable for a long time for humans and
animals alike. SO the key is to be very careful with it but still be
able to use it to it’s fullest potential.

Cell phones them selves have been around since the 1950’d but its
really more recent where they have really made their mark. When
you compare the phone form then to the phones now there is a
huge difference. Phones today are really more like computers than
really phones. You can play games, watch movies, listen to music,
send pictures, even send texts. They are truly a wonderful device.

Even though our generation has not done much space traveling and
we haven't gone the lengths that our earlier generation thought we
would. But that’s still not to say technology hasn’t done wonders. We
were able to send a man to the moon and plenty of robots and
probes to view the world and mars and hopefully one day we can start
exploring other planets more thoroughly.

PC’s or personal computers have come a very long way. It used to
be you had a machine that had to be in a well conditioned room.
Even the phrase your computer has a bug came from that
because actual bugs would get into the hardware and mess up
the system. But with the developments in technology there is now
limitless potential for it to become the wonderful thing it was meant
to be.

There was once a phrase that said “The camera doesn’t lie”
that has since died out thanks to Photoshop an amateur can
edit reality with nothing more than a keyboard and a
mouse. A model’s blemishes, or an overcast sky in a movie
scene can be fixed as easy 1, 2, 3. its really a scary thing
being able to crate something like that and send it around
the world in a matter of seconds.

Boyer and Cohen constructed the first organism with combined DNA from
different species. They inserted toad genes into a bacterium that then
replicated itself passing the toad’s genetic code down through generations
of bacteria. Thirty years later 70 percent of processed foods contain
ingredients form the first. This could lead to creating fixes for birth defects and
things of that nature but we have really no way to know if that would make
us more perfect or more deformed than we already are.

11. This may seem like an obvious choice but really it has come a long way. It
used to be all you could do is check your email and play solitaire. But now
there’s social media, meme’s, and tons of other stuff. It is truly a wonder what
you can do with it all.

Probably one of the ways advanced technology is used is with how we
listen to music. It used to be the only way we could get and enjoy
music was a Walkman or a record. Now we can listen to our favorite
songs almost anywhere we go thanks to the ipod and things of that
nature. It has given us a huge variety of music to choose from and they
have the biggest library out there.

In todays world it has never been easier to travel anywhere and
everywhere. You can go to the ends of the Earth with a GPS. The
very definition of GPS is Global Positioning System. This means that
it can find your location anywhere and guide you to any spot in
the world. And with that we don’t have much a need for maps
and things like that, if you get a good one it can even show
traffic jams

Just look at the world around us with movies. There is no such thing as a drive in
movie theater. And even at the regular movie theaters there are not as many
people going as normal. This is all because of technology and the internet. Why
go out to the movies when you can stay home and pirate the movie for free.
That’s not the end of it either. With the utilities like Netflix and hulu you can watch
all kinds of movies and tv shows.
