2. Vout vs vin change due to deg R
• Vout = (Ip-In)*Rl
• If deg R is 0 or not 0, current increase in Ip = current decrease in IR
• This is the fundemantal principle
• When deg R is not 0, increase in Ip for same vin is dependent on deg R
• As vin increases, current flows through the deg R and increases p i/p
transistor source voltage. This creates current through deg R and the
increase in Ip depends on deg R
• If deg R is high then current increase in p is not as much and so current
decrease in n is also not as much and hence gain decreases with deg R
