After three consecutive seasons finishing fifth after the regular
season and fighting our way through the finals series on each
occasion, our aim for season 2009/10 is to finish the regular season
in the top four and bring the Championship home to Townsville.
With the support of the Board of Directors, Coaching Staff and
Basketball Support Staff we will be assembling a strong and
competitive squad of players. Our team will be highly skilled, athletic
and produce an entertaining style of basketball that saw us fall just
one game short of making the Grand Final in the 2008/09 season.
We have made tremendous progress in the 3 years since I joined the
Club and to see the green so prominent at our home and away games
gives me great pride. With the support of our members and the
corporate community we will be well prepared for the challenges the
2009/10 season has in store.
The tremendous support from the private and corporate community is essential to the club’s success
and provides a platform for stability and growth.
Our team feels the emotion on game day that our fans bring. Never underestimate how important
that support can be, whether you’re at home with your family watching on TV or cheering from
the stands. If there was ever a time to become a member or sponsor, it’s now.

the Head Coach
The start of a new era in professional basketball in Australia is
about to take place. We invite you to partner with us, the Townsville
McDonald’s Crocodiles and the game of basketball as we continue
the next exciting phase of our development as one of Australia’s
finest professional sporting clubs.
The Townsville McDonald’s Crocodiles have been a part of the
National Basketball League and entertainment landscape of North
Queensland and Australia for the past 16 years. We understand that
we must never take the support we have had from the community for
granted. We cannot and will not become complacent. We will always
continually look for ways to freshen up and to improve our entire
performance as a company and as a great basketball team. As a
proud and passionate supporter you will play a significant part in the
clubs ambition for championship success and once again this year
we need you involved.
