section 2, state 4 teaching strategies & 4 learning activities for the refugee child. Next,
complete the SEL Template is provided on LEO)
Criterion 3
5. Teaching strategies/pedagogies for wellbeing, social integration intercultural
understanding, and pastoral care:
Describe how you will teach social integration skills, intercultural understanding &
pastoral care so the child feels welcomed & Included- by applying positive educational
frameworks for example ( PERMA, FLOURISH, PROSPER, circle of Courage)
(hint: refer to Australian curriculum Intercultural understanding & other sources)
6. Rationale for sections above based on principles of multicultural education /Australian
Curriculum & Teacher professional standards, supported by references & research ( 2
refereed journal articles requires, not older than ten years..
Note: in the assignment overall, you should have at least 6 relevant peer reviewed journal
articles published from 2012 onwards.
