Only 53% of businesses surveyed have a crisis plan. Those with a plan recover from crises faster, within 6 months on average, compared to 9 months for those without a plan. They also experience less revenue loss and layoffs. Having a crisis plan can save businesses approximately a third of the average cost of a crisis. Well prepared companies with thorough, regularly reviewed plans fare better during crises than those with vulnerable or no plans.
