2. Creativity is the use of imagination and the act of turning new and
imaginative ideas into reality. Creativity is characterised by the ability to
perceive the world in new ways, to find hidden patterns, to make
connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena, and to generate
solutions. Creativity involves two processes: thinking, then producing.

3. Many horror trailers feature new and creative ideas which is why lots of
them are so successful. However ones which imitate old ideas tend to be
more predictable; these aren’t as successful because to a certain extent
the audience knows what is coming. The majority of horror films now a
days feature creative elements like special effects (SFX) and computer
generated image (CGI). These effects help the creators to think of new
ideas which can make horror films more graphic, dramatic and realistic.
In my horror trailer I’ll be using creativity by applying this to the unusual plot
and the mise-en-scene. Being creative with the costumes and make-up can
be really effective as it can make the subject look extremely realistic. I will
also apply creativity to the camera shots, editing and sound.
