1) God provided atonement for Adam and Eve's sin by killing an animal and using its skin to clothe them, representing the need for an innocent sacrifice to cover human sin and shame. 2) Only God can provide a satisfactory atonement and covering for human sin through the sacrifice and shedding of blood, as seen in God accepting Abel's blood sacrifice over Cain's non-blood offering. 3) Jesus Christ's death on the cross made atonement for human sin by satisfying God's justice, with Jesus as the innocent substitute who endured punishment in our place through his sacrificial death.

2. Here we go again this idea of sovereign initiative, again.

3. Did they ask for a new outfit from God? Did they help God made them a new outfit? Or did God acted in grace towards the sinner?

4. So behind ATONEMENT IS GRACE.

5. You can’t have salvation without grace. And grace comes in because

6. God imitates the covering;

7. God initiates the satisfaction;

8. God initiates the atonement.

9. God acts in grace toward the sinner.

10. NOTE: Genesis 3:8 “the Lord God.” That is Jehovah Elohim. The Creator, the Lord of grace.

11. NOTE: Adam and Eve had made an outfit for themselves. God Himself made them a better, more permanent and more modest covering of animal skins.

12. God had to KILL an animal in order to make the outfit.

13. God knew the reason for their shame. They wanted to cover their nakedness.

14. NOTE: Adam and Eve tried to put together a covering out of leaves, but it was inadequate covering. Only God can make the covering that is acceptable.

15. NOTE: HERE IS THE PICTURE OF ATONEMENT WHEE GOD, THROUGH THE SACRIFICE….

16. An innocent victim, guilty of nothing, is killed so that a garment can be made to cover sinners.

18. How is God going to accept the sinner?

19. You say the sinner needs to just believe? Is that enough? NO.

20. Gods must provide an atonement.

21. Justice must be satisfied.

22. But the sinner cannot bear the punishment because he will be perish eternally.
