Many rural students in California lack internet access at home, stopping their learning once school ends for the day. Without reliable internet, poor and rural students have trouble completing homework assignments and accessing online resources. Some school districts have tried to close the connectivity gap by providing mobile hotspots and internet subsidies to help students stay connected, but the digital divide remains a challenge for many families without broadband access.
