This tutorial will allow web users publish their news on the web.
What do I need to know before reading this document?
-This document teaches to publish an article on the web.
-This document does not teach how to edit images and photographs.
-This document does not teach to find images on the Internet.
-This document does not teach to use a camera.
Before proceeding make sure you know these things.
What do I need to post my story on the web?
I need to have on my computer the images to be used.
I need to know what I will write. I can have it ready in a text document.

1. I have prepared my photographs and images.
You need to have available the images that you will use in your article.
They can be pictures of a camera, mobile phone or computer. You can also use
pictures you've found on the internet.
The images must have the following features:
-Width 500 pixels.
-Resolution 72ppi.
-Format jpg or png.

2. I know what I'll write. I can have it ready in a text document.
I cannot write my article if I have not previously decided what it is about.
You need to have your article written previously, especially if you are starting in this
web. You can do a google docs document and share it with your teacher.
Then you will use this document to copy the text and paste it in the article.

You must be loged in the web www.underthesamesky2013.eu
Write your name and password.
Press LOG IN.
Now, press CREATE ARTICLE.
It will open a page to start editting..

This is the editing window of a reporter.
You have some buttons like those of any text editor.
With them you can write in bold, italics, paragraph
justified, centered, insert images and videos, etc..
The sections marked with a * are mandatory to fill
in, without them the article can not be published.

In the "Title" we have to put our news.
Remember that the title should be capitalized.

Where I write.
You have to write the article it in the center
window, just below the writing icons.
Rules:
Font-family: Verdana.
Font-size: 12pt
If Ipaste a text that I had in another document I
have to select and change the font type and size to
those outlined here.

If I want to publish a picture, I have to push this
icon.
You will see a new windows, like this,
where I have got my photos.
-If I want to upload a new picture, I push
this icon.

I get another window to find my photo in the
computer with the Browse button.
When you have found it, press Upload. And the
image will appear in the windows.
Here we have chosen an

image called

Now select my image, Longitud.png, and I can
see how at the bottom shows me the size of my
image.
Rules:
-The first picture you put on the news has to be
300px wide. In our case is 500, so change it to
300 and click on insert.

My image has been inserted in the article. Now I
continue to write.

You notice that the news of the web have a
button that says "read more" and when you
click it you can see the full story.
This is a web standard. You have to put a
“read more” in every news. When someone
clic in "read more" he will read the full story.

When I want to make a
division of "read more" only I
have to place the cursor at
the place where I want to
insert the division and click on
"read more" at the bottom...

Now we have to choose the correct category of our
news.
You have to select ‘News from country name’ if you are
writting your news alone or with your classmates. If you
are writting the article with students from other
countries, you should choose ‘News’.

If you want that people read in your article ‘writed by…
(the name of your reporter group)’ you have to write
that name in the Alias section.
If you don’t write anything, the article will be published
with ‘writed by (your name)’.

When you click the ‘Save’ option, your article will be ready to publish by a teacher.
