Based on his experience as the head of engineering institutions, he has prepared this slide show to show how the quality of engineering institutions could be substantially improved, following systems approach to the quality management. The focus is on improving the overall quality and building the image of the institution, developing the infrastructure, faculty and the students.
The benefits are seen in terms of accreditation, certification, organised campus, better infrastructure, quality faculty with high motivation, good students seeking admission, good university results with rank-holders, placements in reputed organisations and revenue generation through sponsored research, consultancy, testing and training.
The document discusses object oriented analysis and design using the iterative development approach. It describes the iterative development process, which involves short, fixed-length iterations to incrementally develop a software system. Each iteration includes requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing activities. The Rational Unified Process (RUP) framework is discussed as an example of an iterative development methodology. RUP includes phases like inception, elaboration, construction, and transition with iterations conducted within each phase. The benefits of the iterative approach over the traditional sequential waterfall model are highlighted.
Project organisation and erp implementation methodGaurav Kumar
The Project Organization defines the human infrastructure of the project. This task is designed to define the project organization chart, the roles, and the relationships of the project team. The organizational structure clearly identifies roles and responsibilities of each position, augmenting the existing role definitions where necessary to cover all of the responsibilities. The Project Organization technique that is used in this step provides a standard set of roles and responsibilities which can be customized for a particular project. This should cover all personnel resources required, both full and part time.
A manufacturing company produces 3 products using different raw materials but common production stages. The company is increasing production capacity from 10 to 50 units per day. It also plans to change from manual to automated production due to increased demand. This will require changing the skill mix ratios of managers, supervisors, and operators from 1:3:12 to 1:3:4. The company must develop HR plans to recruit and train new employees for the automation changes and increased production levels.

Office 365: Is Governance Affected and Where Do We Start?Stacy Deere
As we all know, more and more organizations are starting to question “Do we or do we not implement Office 365?”. However, as these discussions are taking place; governance is rarely addressed or considered. The main reason is that the majority believe that once they have implemented governance that they are done; unless there is an update such as a server name change or an employee change (such as a departure or addition). During the initial planning around governance it is likely that there were discussions around auditing of the governance document and potential quarterly reviews to ensure that the document is up to date and still fits the business. However, it is common to forget that after that fact; even though it is documented “within the governance document”.
Governance becomes even more important with Office 365 because it’s all cloud based. This means all of the content, backup, recovery, etc. are all handled by Microsoft and you have virtually no control over it. In this session we will review the areas of concern and how they can be addressed within the governance document, the importance of reviewing the document frequently; and ways to make the information available to your internal SharePoint Community. In addition, we will review the features of Office 365 that will have a major impact on Exchange, SharePoint, Office Apps and Lync. We will review each of these applications and the areas of importance that should be addressed in the governance document, as well as why each of them are important.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

In this session you will learn:
How to record demos, assessments, and training simulations at the same time
How to create mobile, responsive software simulations
There are some key elements that must be in place before starting any software training program with Adobe Captivate.
They are the following:
Business Need
How is this training going to help meet the business need? By transferring this sytem knowledge we will be able to do what? How is this measurable?
Recording Environment Analysis
How and where are you going to record the screens?
Does the recording system represent the “live state” of the system?
What is the screen resolution of the system? Is it responsive? Is it an app?
Does Captivate play nice with the system? What percentage of the recording process stays true to the original system? Referenced objects in captions, highlight box size and placement. Also, text entry interactions.
Delivery System Analysis
How is the student going to consume the training? Will it be the same experience on different screen sizes? If not – what impact will you instructional strategy take, and what is the consequence of the substandard media?
Instructional Strategy
Demo, Guided, Assessment? Is this for performance support, or is this replacing some aspect of a facilitated training session? Is there a scenario that need to be incorporated into the training to keep the engagement level?
Storytelling
Can you introduce a real world story that will draw the user into the training experience.
The business need is going to drive education media output types. Examples include system rollout, system updates, and performance support, or just-in-time training.
Solid performance objectives tied back into the business need are critical.
If the knowledge is transferred and applied properly – what would be the organizational impact?
Very specific learning objectives!
Once the training is deployed – how is success measured?
How and where are you going to record your Captivate movies?
Step-by-step recording scope:
ASAP identify core business processes in the system
Prototype a recording that represents at least one business function, and MUST include the following:
All system objects: text entry box, drop down menu, radio buttons, check, box, etc.
Any screen changes or movements. Examples: scrolling window, window pop-ups, new windows, closed windows.
Check each item to see if Captivate is “playing well”.
Write the time it would take to edit each task, or screen change.
Print out all the screens for your training.
Circle all the elements that will be interacted with based upon the learning objectives.
Total the time for the edits in the lower corner.
Now add up all your time.
This is going to give you a good approximation of the amount of time development is going to take.
How is this being consumed?
Fixed projects ae going to maintain the same physical dimension.
