Participated in design reviews and performed beta and acceptance testing. • Specified, installed and programmed $50M DCS to simulate packaged boiler and Phenol plant operation. Trained 20 operators. • Installed and operated Honeywell Advanced Process Controller for a Phenol plant. Identified independent and dependent variables and to collect data. Designed and configured control strategy. • Designed and implemented interfaces between multiple DCS systems and between DCS and LIMS. • Proposed, obtained agreement, and implemented a complete IT infrastructure for a chemical plant. Included LAN, domain servers, application servers, file servers, email servers, and PCs. Trained 200 users on Microsoft Office and Outlook. • Took technical lead and project management roles for a $250M LIMS project. Evaluated and selected LIMS vendor. Developed business model, database model, and requirements. Installed, tested, and configured system. • Modified LIMS system to perform customer order fulfillment process by integrating LIMS and customer order systems. Performed process discovery and analysis. Designed process and created requirements including data model and data flow diagrams. Participated in development reviews, beta testing, and acceptance testing. Trained 5 order-processing administrators. • Accepted challenge of implementing long desired but previously failed $2.4MM CMMS project. Succeeded in implementing integrated modules for maintenance management, MRO inventory management, and MRO purchasing management saving $3.4MM over 4 years. Lead team to customize CMMS to model business processes with end-to-end responsibility for engineering, project management, coding, testing, and start-up. Authored and conducted training program for 450 users. • Managed team of 5 people to consolidate 5 maintenance storerooms. Eliminated duplicate and obsolete parts. Developed common part numbering system, categorization, and descriptions. Performed usage analysis and set proper inventory levels and reorder points. Initiated perpetual inventory counting process.
