18. THE SUBJECT
To create your own contemporary art piece, you must fully
understand what makes an artwork a true work of art.

19. REALISM
◼ Subject is done the way it actually looks. It attempts to represent subject matter
truthfully, without artificiality.

20. DISTORTION
◼ Artist uses his/her imagination and alters the subject according to his or her desire
◼ the act of twisting or altering something out of its true, natural, or original state

21. ABSTRACTION
◼ Abstract art is art that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a
visual reality but instead use shapes, colours, forms and gestural marks to achieve its
effect.

22. NON OBJECTIVISM
◼ The art has totally NO SUBJECT at all just an interplay of pure elements like line,
shape, or color and so on.
◼ It is not meant to depict anything found in nature, instead relying on shape, line,
and form with no particular subject
