Dear Sir/Madam
It has been brought to my attention about a recent job opening regarding a
career at the BBC as a Freelance Camera Operator.
Based off the description and requirements needed for the job I feel myself fit to
place myself in the running to be a serious candidate for the Job.
Initially, I am experienced in the use of photography and videography from both
media and photography courses. Thereforethis means that I am very capable
and used to how cameras operate and work. I do freelance photography as a
hobby and own a high-end low budget set up for personal development of my
skills.
Over the last 2 years I have developed a skilled sense of picture composure, with
expertise as a director and intricately planning moving image storyboard to fit
with composure rules. I always draw these by hand to gain creative control over
what the frame will look like and not leave it to chance and frame it on the day, I
like to plan my shots in advance.
I Have a careful sense of nature, in the two years I have had all of my own
personal equipment, I have never broken or damaged an item. I always take
special care of camera equipment because of how much I value it in my life.
I am an independent and demanding person of my team, my qualities include
being able to lead a group towards a goal. This was shown through my media
college course where I took on the role of producer and had everyone work
towards deadlines and goals to get the best product possible in the most efficient
way.
I have a large knowledge of creative media, and can either plan a shot in advance
or use my experience to create a shot on the spot for any shots that were
previously not pre planned.
Overall I see myself as a suitable candidate, with a keen eye to learn more on the
job aswell as be able to carry out my job with my upmost effort and dedication as
being a camera operator is something I have practiced for more than enough
now to be confident in my abilities to have the responsibility to work for such a
world-renowned corporation at a very high level.
CV is attatched to the letter, do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my application
Yours Sincerely
Adam Paterson.
