    Member of emergency department responsible for triage, client communication, medical history, obtaining lab
    samples, running lab work, placing and maintaining intravenous catheters, administering medications as
    prescribed, and otherwise care for patient needs. Proficient with Catalyst DS, Lasercyte, Coag DX, Vet Stat,
    Snapshot DX, Dvmaxx software, and Vetpacs digital radiology.

Role comprised of up-keep of surgical equipment, including three different anesthesia machines, a steam and a
gas autoclave, ECG, cautery equipment, and all instruments in packs. Role also comprised of calculating pre-
medication and induction drugs, getting the surgery prep area and operating room prepared for surgery, giving
prescribed surgical drugs to patient, inducing and prepping patient for surgery, and monitoring patient from
induction through recovery. Scrubbing in to assist with surgery when needed for both soft tissue and orthopedic
procedures.
• Responsible for training all staff in regards to surgical equipment and surgery set up and proper clean up. Held
    formal group training as indicated to guide staff in functions of the surgery department.
•   Responsible for maintaining the Controlled Drug Log and Cabinet.
Surgery RVT (August 2005 – February 2006)
Supported all facets of operations in regards to the surgery department. Assisted Head Surgery RVT with all
needed processes.
•   Role comprised of assisting Head Surgery RVT with induction and preparation for surgery, as well as recovery
    and clean up.
•   Assisted with maintaining, cleaning, and wrapping all surgical instruments as desired by the surgeon.
Norton Road Veterinary Hospital- Galloway, Ohio                                               June 2000 to August

Lead the other RVTs and assistants to function as a unit in order to best support the doctors and care for the
patients.
•   Role comprised of group and individual training. Leading staff on a daily basis while functioning as an RVT in
    other aspects of the office.
•   Performed dental cleanings from induction to recovery, including full mouth radiographs. Performed
    laboratory work as need by the doctors. Ran anesthesia for surgeries and other procedures. In charge of
    surgery equipment up-keep, as well as Controlled Drug Log.

    to skill set.
