Shadowing and following doctors in the emergency department for more than two years and gain an experience in the medical field. Was
exposed to two programs: the first one was only shadowing with the doctors. the second program has involved making studies and data

Abstract Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is a set of different diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as the use of natural products for the treatment of patients, derived from previously known traditional methods and enriched with modern scientific knowledge. The present article reviews the available data regarding the use of CAM and the legislation behind it in European countries. The use of CAM is recorded in Europe as a whole and varies between 10–70% of the population of individual European countries. At least 300,000 registered CAM providers have been identified in the European Union (EU), of which slightly more than half includes non-medical practitioners. The most practiced discipline is acupuncture, followed by homeopathy. CAM regulation and legislation in Europe is not precisely defined and is constantly striving to find a common approach. Since legal frameworks for CAM are not defined, each European country has its own regulations and legislation. In order to define universal legislation for CAM, the EU created the CAMbrella project, a project of the EU designed to find a unique system that would include the treatment of CAM in Europe. According to the data from CAMbrella, from 39 countries in the EU, 17 have general CAM legislations. The status of CAM in Europe is characterized by enormous heterogeneity in all aspects, including terminology, methods, prevalence and ultimately, legal status, regulations and legislation.

Neurological Disorders
Neurological disorders, such as headaches, seizure disorders, sleep disorders, depression, and dementia, can present several complications for patients of all ages. These disorders affect patients physically and emotionally, impacting judgment, school and/or job performance, and relationships with family and friends. Since these disorders may have drastic effects on patients’ lives, it is important for advanced practice nurses to effectively manage patient care. With patient factors and medical history in mind, it is the nurse’s responsibility to assist physicians in the diagnosis, treatment, and education of patients with neurological disorders.

Review this week’s media presentations on the nervous system.

Select one of the following neurological disorders: headaches, seizure disorders, sleep disorders, depression, or dementia. Consider the pathophysiology, as well as the types of drugs that would be prescribed to patients to treat your selected disorder.

Select one of the following factors: genetics, gender, ethnicity, age, or behavior. Consider how the factor you selected might impact the pathophysiology of the disorder. Then, reflect on how this factor might impact the effects of prescribed drugs, as well as measures you might take to help reduce any negative side effects.

Locate an agency that provides patient education on your selected disorder and review the available materials and curriculum. Consider how you might be able to use those materials to educate a patient on the disorder, treatment options, management, and self-care.

Abstract Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is a set of different diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as the use of natural products for the treatment of patients, derived from previously known traditional methods and enriched with modern scientific knowledge. The present article reviews the available data regarding the use of CAM and the legislation behind it in European countries. The use of CAM is recorded in Europe as a whole and varies between 10–70% of the population of individual European countries. At least 300,000 registered CAM providers have been identified in the European Union (EU), of which slightly more than half includes non-medical practitioners. The most practiced discipline is acupuncture, followed by homeopathy. CAM regulation and legislation in Europe is not precisely defined and is constantly striving to find a common approach. Since legal frameworks for CAM are not defined, each European country has its own regulations and legislation. In order to define universal legislation for CAM, the EU created the CAMbrella project, a project of the EU designed to find a unique system that would include the treatment of CAM in Europe. According to the data from CAMbrella, from 39 countries in the EU, 17 have general CAM legislations. The status of CAM in Europe is characterized by enormous heterogeneity in all aspects, including terminology, methods, prevalence and ultimately, legal status, regulations and legislation.

Neurological disorders, such as headaches, seizure disorders, sleep disorders, depression, and dementia, can present several complications for patients of all ages. These disorders affect patients physically and emotionally, impacting judgment, school and/or job performance, and relationships with family and friends. Since these disorders may have drastic effects on patients’ lives, it is important for advanced practice nurses to effectively manage patient care. With patient factors and medical history in mind, it is the nurse’s responsibility to assist physicians in the diagnosis, treatment, and education of patients with neurological disorders.

Review this week’s media presentations on the nervous system.
·
Select one of the following neurological disorders: headaches, seizure disorders, sleep disorders, depression, or dementia. Consider the pathophysiology, as well as the types of drugs that would be prescribed to patients to treat your selected disorder.
·
Select one of the following factors: genetics, gender, ethnicity, age, or behavior. Consider how the factor you selected might impact the pathophysiology of the disorder. Then, reflect on how this factor might impact the effects of prescribed drugs, as well as measures you might take to help reduce any negative side effects.
·
Locate an agency that provides patient education on your selected disorder and review the available materials and curriculum. Consider how you might be able to use those materials to educate a patient on the disorder, treatment options, management, and self-care.

The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. Embracing GenAI - A Strategic Imperative
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

It includes physician recommendations as well as patient stories on how the therapies affected their healing. 2) Eden, Donna; Feinstein, David; and Myss, Caroline. (2008) Energy Medicine: Balancing Your Body’s Energies for Optimal Health, Joy, and Vitality, Updated and Expanded. Published by Tarcher. This is a reference guide to taking responsibility for your own health and recognizing your body as an energy system. 3) The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine. (NCCAM)- a Division of the National Institutes of Health. - http://nccam.nih.gov/ This website is an excellent source of information on the types of CAM therapies available as well as the latest research updates. It also has links to certified CAM therapists in the country. 4) The Mayo Clinic - http://www.mayoclinic.org This site is an excellent source for all things medical, not just CAM. It gives an overview of how CAM therapies are being integrated into western medical practices.
