The Missing Feeling Technique is a method to help identify and strengthen feelings that have been blocked. It involves identifying the missing feeling, practicing expressing that feeling through facial expressions and affect labeling for 10-20 times daily over 5 days with a partner. This aims to rewire brain circuits that previously blocked emotional expression and feeling. It also includes practicing expressing anger in a primitive way with a "Hostility Buddy" to further strengthen circuits related to anger. The technique is meant to help unlock one's natural flow of feelings through emotional fluidity.
