The Arena is active protection system developed at Russia's Kolomna-based Engineering Design Bureau for the purpose of protecting important places. The Arena system was primarily designed to defeat threats. It uses a Doppler radar to detect incoming warheads and destroy it by throwing projectile. By the array scan technology of image processing now is easy to detect the area of an object. Most of the war threads are in common format. So it was easy to detect any object nature. By using picture element information, this system can sense an object. The main purpose of this research is to build a cost effective Arena Active Protection System that is less costly than current system. The purpose of this research work is to invent a method to avoid Doppler radar which is used in current system and use pair of phototransistor which is more cost effective then Radar.

2. History Of APS
The Arena is active protection system developed at Russia's
Kolomna-based Engineering Design Bureau between 1977–1982
for the purpose of protecting important places from war thread.

3. APS System Overview
The system uses a multi-function Doppler radar, which can be
turned on and off by the operator. In conjunction with radar
input, a digital computer scans an arc around for threats, and it
will release projectiles to intercept the incoming threat. In
selecting the projectile to use for defeating the threat. The
computer has a reaction time of 0.05 seconds.

4. Project Purpose
Arena active protection system is so costly that is why only rich
country use these kinds of system. Arena protection system
needs 24 hours radar processing system. In our project we try to
develop pair system of Arena active protection system. In our
system we use infrared to detect any object. By the advanced
image processing system now we are able to gather information
of any incoming object.

Doppler radar is the main costly part of Arena system. A
Doppler radar is a specialized radar that makes use of the
Doppler effect to produce velocity data about objects at a
distance.

20. Future Planning
In future we try to develop such a system that is not only use to
developed Arena system. We developed a cost effective
theorem that is used to detect car speed and various Object.
Our theory can also develop the auto driver method that is
used today in most advanced cars. We can build more effective
home security system by this theory. In recent future we can
build more effective self defense system.
