4. Participation of women as an entrepreneur is a very
recent phenomenon.
Women hold mere 10% seats in parliament that shows
that women is less represented in the decision- making
processes.
Overall literacy rate of women in India is 65% approx
which is still lesser to that of men in India.
Female labor participation rate in India is 35% i.e the
lowest in the world.

adaptability and empathy,
influencing without power,
open mindedness and
integrity.
These are the basic skills set required by an individual
to be socially responsible, which a woman already
owns. These are very positive signs which imply that
women can be leaders. In order to help women to be in
limelight, they need to be empowered.

The motive behind joining CSR with women
empowerment is to provide solutions to women related
issues like gender discrimination, sexual harassment,
failure to be promoted , receiving lower pay than men.

women achievers in corporate India like
Chanda Kochhar, Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi,
Kalpana Chawla and so on but these are in
few thousand and there is a need to have
such achievements in lakhs and lakhs.
Thus, women empowerment should be
oath taken by the entire world, after all
behind every successful man lies sacrifices of
a woman.
