Ivy Tech Corporate College and GEICO
partner for College-at-Work program
Ivy Tech Corporate College is partnering with GEICO to create a College-at-Work program to help develop the
company’s Indianapolis employees into management positions.
The partnership allows GEICO employees the opportunity to be promoted internally after they complete coursework
through Ivy Tech’s Business Administration program.
"GEICO has a proud history of encouraging professional development among its employees and promoting from within,"
said GEICO's Indianapolis Assistant Vice President Eric Stafford. "This first semester has exceeded our expectations and
I am confident this partnership with Ivy Tech will help us continue that tradition and inspire more employees to further
their education and expand their career opportunities."
“From the beginning, GEICO has been interested in partnering with Ivy Tech; they sought us out,” said Stallard. “They
have been excited about the entire process and continue to be as we deliver education to their employees.”
“GEICO has been a tremendously dedicated partner in the College-at-Work program,” said Thalls. “By giving their
employees the ability to conveniently attend college level classes on site, GEICO has strategically given their employees
the ability to pursue their educational goals when many lacked the necessary resources to do so. I am incredibly
humbled and thankful to be a part of such a worthwhile project.”
