Android context awareness uses sensors and location data to provide relevant information and notifications to users. It works by collecting user information, analyzing it, and performing actions based on the analysis. For example, a social app may recognize when a user is near a restaurant and recommend popular menu items. Google Now also uses context awareness to provide personalized search results and notifications. Atooma aims to create a user-centric context aware experience that allows users to teach their smartphone about their own life contexts and how to react through an IF/DO logic rule engine.

The smart ring called ”Fin” promises to be the next revolution in wearable technology. A young Indian techie has invented a ring-type device, that can turn your palm into a gesture interface to control multiple devices, including mobile phones, television, music system, gaming console to name a few.
Electromyography (EMG) is a technique for evaluating and recording the electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles. EMG is performed using an instrument called an electromyograph, to produce a record called an electromyogram. An electromyograph detects the electrical potential generated by muscle cells, when these cells are electrically or neurologically activated. The signals can be analyzed to detect medical abnormalities, activation level, or recruitment order or to analyze the biomechanics of human or animal movement.

The recent advent of novel sensing and display technologies has encouraged the development of a variety of multi-touch and gesture based interactive systems.
In these systems user may interact directly with information using touch add natural hand gestures.
Unfortunately, most gestural and multi-touch based interactive systems are not mobile and small mobile devices fail to provide the intuitive experience of full-sized gestural systems.

Virtual Interaction Using Myo And Google Cardboard (slides)Poo Kuan Hoong
This project focuses on developing a mobile application that integrates Google Cardboard and Myo Armband. The mobile application developed is an educational application that teaches users to write Japanese characters by getting users to trace the characters display on the phone screen. The users will air draw the letters while the Myo Armband will capture the gestures, send the data to the smartphones and display the drawn character on the screen.

Human Activity Recognition using Smartphone's sensor Pankaj Mishra
Human activity recognition plays significant role in medical field and in security system. In this project we have design a model which recognize a person’s activity based on Smartphone.
A 3- dimensional Smartphone sensor named accelerometer and gyroscope is used to collect time series signal, from which 26 features are generated in time and frequency domain. The activities are classified using 2 different dormant learning method i.e. k-nearest neighbor algorithm, decision tree algorithm.
Understanding Artificial Intelligence - Major concepts for enterprise applica...APPANION
Artificial Intelligence is a fundamental topic – for us as humans, as a society but also for businesses. For business executives and decision-makers, it is sometimes hard to keep up with rapidly evolving technologies as part of the day-to-day business. By providing this curated compilation of information about the fundamental aspects of AI, we want to captivate and inspire you to become more involved with the technology by better understanding the underlying concepts and value drivers of this technology
Psychology behind mobile apps, Mobile Trends Conference Kraków 2015Piotr Biegun
Do you want to know how psychology affects our decision? How it's connect with our actions and how to use it in our favor of our products. Psychology behind mobile apps is all about understanding what makes users tick and us digital products.
Accessing and availing the services of the web applications will take more time in a few cases where there is a problem with a reliable internet connection. Nowadays, all the smartphone users are looking for the applications who can deliver the service at their fingertips instead of accessing them through the web browser. Henceforth, many mobile application developers are accentuating the Android and iOS mobile apps to facilitate the users within no time.

4. Android Context Awareness in Action
How it works: A simple example by the Android Wear design guidelines4
Build an App
For this example, you build a social
app for restaurants.
App Recognizes User
When a user is by a restaurant, the
app uses location data to trigger
restaurant context.
Content is Pushed
The app recommends popular menu
items as content that is relevant to the
user in a specific space-time frame.
5. SEARCHES

Google Now
Google Now is an app by Google that
comes embedded into the most
recent Android versions.
It provides relevant information to
users thanks to a learning process
based on different sets of data,
such as…

IF DOIF/DO Logic
On a user experience level, we
decided to communicate in full
transparency the IF/DO logic of
rules that the android context aware
engine relies on.
On one hand we have a series of
sensors that enables the context
aware device to sense the real world.
This covers the “IF” part of the
logical process.
On the other hand, we have the rule
engine which is always listening for
specific inputs to trigger corresponding
actions, based on the perception of the
context. This covers the “DO” part of
the process.
10. Listen, Learn, Predict, Suggest
This is our way of delivering android context awareness.
Gather user data that
is received by the
sensors over a certain
span of time.
Listen
Learn through analysis,
profiling, and clustering
the data stream.
Learn
Use the learned data to
predict IF/DO rules
based on context.
Predict
The system can adjust
the IF/DO rules and
make them more
dynamic, adapting to
the real life context of
the end user.
