- YouTube can be a great way for people to post content for free that they aren’t worried about the public seeing YouTube and similar embeddable players can be ADD Nature of consumers - you’re sending your users down a rabbit hole “look theres a squirrel” Limited to just delivering video
- Choosing to build a custom page will give you more options than you would have had with a YouTube or Vimeo page.
- Http vs Https - Encrypt passwords and payment data - necessary if you want to send PCI, HIPPA, or sensitive personal information
- Secure Downloads -Giving users the option to download content is important in allowing them to access your videos anytime anywhere. Even places where they might have poor service, or don't want to use cellular data What are your options? Digital downloads are often talked about in terms of DRM or Digital Rights Management Full or Heavy DRM (nested encryption) - This is for content that is for your eyes only! It only works on a limited range of players - DRM Light (best practices, but only what is necessary)- full Control of time to expire – can set at start -Returns are “taken back”

Are certain users going back to videos time and time again? That tells you your team should create more content around this topic How long do they stick around? Are users watching entire videos? Or do they stream the first 30 seconds and drop off. That might tell you you’re not getting to your point quick enough. Users thought the topic was interesting enough to click on the video, but didn’t find the content relevant enough. Are they streaming the content or downloading and watching it later?
