This document discusses the uncertainties of life and encourages considering important questions about what may happen after death. It notes that while it is entertaining to speculate about hypothetical scenarios, it is more relevant to consider questions that can be answered, such as whether one will live forever, if there is life after death, and if God exists. If the answers to these are yes, it suggests one should examine themselves and prepare to meet God, as the Bible says all will be judged. 2. Life is filled with many uncertainties. All
around is the lingering wonders about things
which never were, nor will they ever be. One
may, for instance, think, “What if I had a
million dollars?” Or, “What if I had been born
in some foreign land?”
“What if I had been a movie star?”
The list could go on and on. The
speculations, in reference to these, and a
number of other areas, are as varied as are the
stars in the heavens.
For reasons that are unknown to each of
us, we are what we are. God has made each of
us uniquely, with certain talents, abilities,
circumstances, etc. These all contribute to who
we become in life. While it may be entertaining
to speculate about many of these things, the
reality of the matter is that it really does not
amount to much of any great relevance. Would
we therewith be content if we were afforded
great wealth, or were born somewhere else,
etc.?
There are some other areas, however, that
are of great relevance, and are areas about
which we can do much more than mere
speculation. Please consider with me a few

3. What if I really do not live forever?
Some seem to somehow think that they
are invincible. History, common sense, and
many other things clearly prove this
mentality inaccurate. Notice what God says
about the matter:
“And as it is appointed unto man once to die

What if there really is life after death?
This topic is one which people have
debated for years. Some have surmised that
if they conclude that there is not life after
death, then all issues regarding
accountability to a Higher Authority, etc, are
forever erased and they are, therefore, at
complete ease to live their present life any
way they may choose.
What if there really is a God?
This topic, which is closely related to the
previous one, is another that skeptics love to
try (to their own dismay) to refute.

4. Genesis 1:1, as well as many other
passages, begin with the established fact of the
existence of God. There is nothing offered as
proof for His existence. It simply states:
“In the beginning, God…”
(He already was.)
What if these previously listed questions
are, in fact, proven to be answerable in the
affirmative?
If the answer is yes, in each case, then does
it not behoove me to consider that maybe I need
to examine a few things about myself? There
may be something I can do now, in preparation
for the time when I will stand before Him.
Perhaps it will be too late, at some point in
time, to do anything to be ready to face
judgment.
In Amos we read :
“Prepare to meet thy God.”

5. Many choose to completely ignore this
command. However, if it is addressed, several
things immediately become observable.
 Everyone will meet God.
Preparation must be made.
Preparation is possible.
Preparation must be accomplished prior to
meeting God.
This being true, please consider the
following:
“All have sinned and come short of the glory of
God.”
“There is none righteous, no not one.”
Romans 3:23,10
“The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23
