The Conservatives, led by David Cameron, are campaigning in the upcoming UK elections. Their goal is to get enough votes to run the country. Their campaign uses techniques like speeches from Cameron and posters highlighting the failures of previous governments to convince voters to support the Conservatives. They also distribute leaflets with information about their platform. While their target audience is all eligible voters age 18+, they tailor some techniques like posters more toward younger audiences. The Conservatives' success in past elections, becoming the largest UK political party, shows their campaign strategies are effective at reaching voters and securing votes.

‘Conservatives’
Good evening, from BBC London News I am Nazish Hussain. Here with you I will be
talking about one of the parties that are up for election and they are the
Conservatives, fighting for them is David Cameron. This is a political campaign,
which aims to get as many votes in order to run the country. The Conservatives have
been in the elections since 1834 and today they’re the largest political party in the
UK.
There are many techniques this campaign uses to be able to get those votes that are
needed which would then lead them onto running the country; which is the aim of
their whole campaign. One of the main techniques used is speeches. The reason to
why Cameron does a lot of these is because this is the way he feels he can portray
what he has to offer the best, and get those important votes from us.
Another Technique used is posters on billboards. The conservatives have a really
different way of doing this. They tend to show what the previous parties who were
elected have done, and through this they show what a wrong decision the nation has
made, and to make that better they can vote for them. This is a really clever way, as
it definitely sucks everyone in, and we end up voting for them, as they are running
the country.
As well as that they also chose to give out leaflets. This way they could get the
information across to everyone really easily. The reason to why they chose to use
leaflets was because it was something which could easily done and it could also
inform everyone about what they have to offer.
Their target audience is pretty simple as it is anyone who is 18+ as they are
allegeable to vote for whoever they wish. Whilst doing their promotions, they don’t
base any of it around one particular audience, as they want to get everyone’s
attention by whatever they choose to do. However, teenagers as we know them
today wouldn’t want to listen to speeches, so to target them their main way would be
through posters. Otherwise, everything is aimed at each and every age group.
This campaign is really successful, as I did mention before that they are the leading
and largest political party in the whole of UK, which definitely highlights their
success, as it shows they do get across to the people they’re aiming at, and they get
votes which enables them to run the country.
