Connective tissue contains white adipose tissue which has flat nuclei and stores fat in one large droplet, and brown adipose tissue which has spherical centrally located nuclei and stores fat in many smaller droplets. Collagen and reticular fibers form the framework and structure of connective tissue, which develops from mesenchymal cells.
