Lincoln Park was originally grasslands that was later used as an army post and smallpox hospital. It was annexed by Chicago in 1889. Today it is a popular neighborhood known for attractions like the Lincoln Park Zoo, as well as its diversity, nightlife including late night cookie delivery, and proximity to DePaul University.
