S Location: Take the Red Line from the Loyola or Granville 
stop South and get off at the Fullerton stop. 
S History: Shortly after Abraham Lincoln’s assassination the 
park was named in his honor. 
S Started out as a cemetery where victims of cholera and 
small pox were buried along the lakeside. 
S Due to health risks they urged people to change the 
cemetery into a zoo 
S A donation of mute swans began the Lincoln Park Zoo
