This document provides highlights from the final report of a comprehensive system analysis of Cherriots, the transit system for Salem-Keizer, Oregon. It summarizes the process that was followed, including data collection, workshops, and a design retreat. Key recommendations from the analysis include providing more frequent weekend and evening service, consistent all-day frequency on routes, optimized layover times, and coordinating transit with land use planning. The proposed network changes would result in some residences and jobs having less access to transit overall but larger gains in access for those near more frequent service routes.
