Alyssia Paekau is currently a second year part-time occupational therapy student. She works part-time as a receptionist at Radius Medical Centre to provide income while studying. She enjoys making cupcakes and cakes as gifts, which is part of her identity as a skill she has learned. She is now an expectant mother and her role and responsibilities will change to caring for her baby. Her occupational identity has also changed from being an only child to an older sister after her little sister was born. Previously she played social netball on Saturdays but has had to reduce this activity due to her pregnancy. She has recently taken up knitting and spends two hours a night on this new occupation.
