comparatively not superior than NORINCO Type 56
With better fire sel options, more mag capacity SMG Chinese has
been a weapon of choice for many armies as well as insurgents
Battle proven in 4 different continents NORINCO Type 56 out
performs statistically with currently operated by 72 countries and used
in over 32 conflicts

Operational experience of INSAS AR was in Kargil or Nepalese civil
war and it didn’t receive positive response with stoppages, oil
leakages and misfire cases which were repeatedly rectified leading to
India’s desire for acquiring a new weapon
Overall INSAS might new with better on record specs but it lacs the
durability in use and reliability in combat
