Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

1. compare and contrast paper
I am comparing the two stories Ali Baba and Aladdin because
we where studding fairy tales in language arts and I thought it would
help me understand it better if I compared and contrasted the two.
The main charters in Ali Baba are Ali Baba and Morgana they
help save the day and The main charters in Aladdin are Aladdin,Jasmine
and the Jennie the Jennie saves the day in this story.
Both of these folktales are also Arabian folktales because they
take place in Arabia far away from where I am.
Both of these folktales also start with A.Aladdin and Ali Baba.
Another simulates is both of these folktales the main charters start
out very poor and have barely any food or water.
Lastly the last simulate in these two folktales are the characters
are not greedy and to do not want very much stuff like toys or
decorations all they want is money to buy food and water and
someone to love.
Some differences in these stories Aladdin has a magic Jennie and
Ali Baba has a magic rock that you have to say "open sesame" to
open the rock and the Jennie you have to rub the gold lamp.
A second difference is Ali Baba has forty thieves and likewise
Aladdin has only one but, both of there thieves are also murders sort
of Aladdin's thieve tried to murder Aladdin but Aladdin escaped.
As you can see Aladdin and Ali Baba have many stimulates and
differences .They also have many more but I could not fit those in
because there were about forty more.
I may want to check out more folktales from the library soon bece
I liked these stories alot.
