1. Aladdin and Ali Baba
By: Brittany
Ali Baba and Aladdin are both folktales. They have
many differences and similarities to compare. We have
a lot of stuff to do so lets get started.
The first thing you should know about these two
folktales is that they’re both Arabian. I enjoyed them;
there is a very special something, about them both, that
I can’t really point out. This kept me interested.
I wanted to point out that they both have caves filled
with untold treasures. Including Silks, gold, and
especially coins. Many things I bet even you would
like in your hands. But as always things is not what
they seem.
This last similarity will blow your mind away!!!!!
[Not really]. In both of these tails there’s a hero, or a
trickster, what ever you want to call it. Aladdin the
heroic person was Aladdin, yet he still had problems.
Ali Baba and the forty thieves’ moriganna [if you
read the book] was the trickster, this wasn’t really
surprising. That’s the end; no this is only the beginning.
2. Differences can be hard but at the same time easy.
Aladdin has two bad guys, jafar and the talking parrot
[he is a blabber mouth].yet,Ali baba and the forty
thieves kind of tells you how many bad guys there is I
mean come on ali baba and the FORTY
THIEVES!!Theres a similarity in here too I mean
how can you find a difference when they could be the
same. Like the fact they both are differences this is
getting harder and harder.
Another difference would be that Aladdin is a love
story, Aladdin is out for the princess, Jasmine, and
of course they do, it’s a fairy tail come true. Unlike in
the story Ali Baba and the forty thieves. This story
is about courage and adventure through out the story.
Interesting don’t you think?
My last difference states that morigana killed people,
the forty thieves. While in Aladdin jafar tempted to
kill Aladdin but of course a fairy tail has a happy
ending, he failed.
3. In conclusion I really liked ail baba and the forty
thieves. But I would prefer more of a romance, like
Aladdin. They are both unique and connected in many
ways that’s what makes them interesting.
