  1-2 SYLLABLES: ADJECTIVE + ER… THAN
        That book is shorter than this book.
                That book is funnier.
2+ SYLLABLES: MORE + ADJECTIVE + THAN
    That book is more interesting than this book.
             This book is more boring.
!!!! REMEMBER...


• There are irregular adjectives/adverbs: good/well- better; bad/
 badly- worse; far- further

• After than or as we can use an object pronoun me, him, her,
 etc OR a subject pronoun (she, he) + auxiliary verb. Example:
 She’s taller than me OR She’s taller than I am (NOT She’s
 taller than I)
SUPERLATIVE OF
  INFERIORITY
      (EL MENOS...)

  The least + adjective

 This book is the least difficult to
           understand.
SUPERLATIVE OF
 SUPERIORITY
            (EL MÁS)

  1-2 SYLLABLES: THE + ADJECTIVE + EST
          Mike is the tallest in the class
2+ SYLLABLES: THE MOST + ADJECTIVE
   Mike is the most intelligent boy in the class
!!! REMEMBER...
•   Irregular adjectives/adverbs: good/well- the best; bad/badly- the worst; far- the
    furthest

•   Normally use the before superlatives, but it is also possible to use possessive
    adjectives like: my best friend, their most famous song.

•   After superlatives use IN with places (towns, buildings,etc). Example: What is
    the longest river in the world? (not “of the world”)// We had the nicest room in
    the hotel (not “of the hotel”)

•   Use IN for organizations and groups of people (a class/ a team/ a company,
    etc). Example: Who is the best student in the class? (not “of the class”)

•   Use OF as a series of activities. Example: Meeting people is the best of my job.
