Case Studies
• Telconx Communications was awarded a tender to rebuild the Ministry of Communications Iraq
ITPC Earth Station in Baghdad. Telconx Communication executed the prompt proposal from
General Dynamic, CPI Communications and DPC which ended up in the accomplishment of
keeping ITPC under budget. Assisted through the US State Department and the US Embassy in
Erbil the B1/B2 Visas for 24 ITPC employees to receive training in our facilities in Duluth Georgia
USA scheduled for June 2
nd
. 2015. Traveled to Washington D.C. to introduce Certificates of
Origin & Commercial Invoices for Hardware traveling to Baghdad Iraq at the US State
Department & the Iraqi Commercial Attaché at the Iraqi Embassy for Authentication for export.
• Telconx Communications/Doretel Communications won a sub-contract that accomplished and
saved a $1.3 Million USD shipment held in Baghdad because of no consular documentation with
appropriate authentication and stamps. Client had 30 days to produce documentation or the
construction goods summing up to $5 million + USD project would be cancelled per Iraqi
Government contractual deadline. Client gave Telconx Communications/Doretel
Communications the power of attorney as their representative for all government and domestic
transactions and we were able to create all documentations pertaining to the Iraqi government
construction project. We personally traveled to Washington D.C. and engaged the US State
Department through our State Department contacts and finally engaged our contacts at the Iraqi
Embassy for quick authentications of all documents for release of goods.
• In 2008 Telconx Communications/Doretel Communications was awarded a subcontract to design
and deploy new satellite network infrastructure for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Government of
Pakistan via a private NON-Government Pakistani entity in support of its operations in Pakistan.
The information transported across this network included voice and time-critical data applications.
Locations covered by this network included multiple remote sites in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore,
Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Sukkur, Bahawalpur, Sargodha and
Hyderabad. The satellite solution designed and deployed for the MoFA of Pakistan was based on
the use of the Cisco PGW2200 SS7/C7 signaling TDM/TDMA platform & Encrypted
communications software, utilizing a relatively large C-band beam that covered all target sites
within Pakistan. Broadband connectivity was provided to/from the remote sites leveraging the use
of a more than 5Mbps forward (to remotes) TDM satellite carrier and a range of return (from
remote) carriers from 256kbps to 1Mbps.
This advanced network architecture resulted in efficient and cost-effective use of the allocated
satellite capacity, with assignments to the multitude of carriers being made dynamically “on the
fly” based on real-time offered load at any of the sites in the network. Due to the severity of the
scope of work in the remote areas that were populated by the Taliban at the time we managed to
install and deploy all services that would ultimately help the Inter Services Intelligence Agency
(ISI) communicate with western intelligence agencies.
