3. About the company:
The company was founded in 2016 in Wroclaw. Most of the employees have been
with the firm from the very beginning.
Unitem owns two buildings: an assembly and production building. The
assembly section has the area of 900 m2, which allows for the creation of
extensive production lines. In the manufacturing section, the key elements of the
offered machines are manufactured.

The completed projects contributed to:
• shortening the production time of the final product,

Machines and devices manufactured by the company can transfer and
exchange data with other devices and systems.
Thanks to said exchange, it is possible to:

7. 1. Construction of production lines
Realized projects:
The company has completed many projects related to the design and
construction of production lines.
One of the most interesting is a production line:
• equipped with an 11-camera system,
• fully automated and including CNC drives with 14 machine tools,
• consisting of 21 machines, which only 3 people have to operate.

The company develops specialized CNC machines used for non-
standard applications.
Machine tools, milling machines, lathes, gluing machines, hole saws,
and many other devices made by Unitem Sp. z o.o. are used where
standard CNC machines cannot be opted for.
Unitem Sp. z o. o. designs and manufactures CNC machines
adapted to a specific production process.
9. 3. Devices for the medical industry

Unitem Sp. z o.o. realizes orders that are connected with very restrictive
guidelines. Said requirements relate to high-quality workmanship,
efficiency, accuracy and the necessity to meet high standards.
10. 4. Robotized stations

In response to customer needs regarding the use of specific robots and
production manipulators, Unitem Sp. z o.o. wants to offer all the interested
parties its knowledge and experience when it comes to the construction of
robotic stations.
In the implemented projects, the company uses robots made by almost
every manufacturer and offers the configuration of additional
equipment .
Unitem Sp. z o.o. has created many robotized stations, both those in the
case of which it has been necessary to "add" a robot and those created
from scratch.
11. 5. Vision systems

In machines and production stations built by Unitem Sp.
z o.o., vision systems are frequently implemented.
The company develops dedicated vision
systems based on cameras and sensors supplied by
world's best producers.
In various projects, the company has implemented the
following vision systems:
• simple ones, using single sensors;
• very advanced ones, using many cameras and offering
advanced functions.
12. 6. Leak testers

Unitem Sp. z o.o. has an extensive experience when it
comes to the construction of leak testers.
The company has been providing machines and
stations for checking the tightness of such items as:
castings, rubber hoses, and components made of
plastic.
Unitem Sp. z o.o. implements many methods of leak
testing, from vision techniques, pressure changes,
acoustic techniques, up to the FLT
(Fast Leakage Test) one.

Unitem Sp. z o.o. also realizes orders for the
construction of specialized stations testing and
examining products.
Product testers are designed to use a given product
the specified number of times, so that the control
department can then determine the quality of a given
batch of products.
14. Goal: speeding up the manual process of making holes in the dashboard.
We successfully automated it.
Moreover:
• we made the process cycle 10 times faster: from 10 minutes to 1
minute (the machine drills at a speed of 90 holes per minute),
• we increased the quality of the process through adding the automatic
part cleaning system,
• the machine works with 2 different product references

Automation machine for machining of
brass castings:
Goal: automatic feeding of brass castings to CNC saw.
We delivered a robotic machine:
• witch distinguish between 5 tap references, often similar to each
other,
• take the tap from 2 buffer lines and deposite on the shaping cell of
the CNC saw
We achieved:
• high repeatability,
• saved space in the production hall,
• improved the safety of the workplace,
• increased production efficiency,
• reduced the number of operators.

Assembly line of headrest:
Goal: Automotive factory's production efficiency increase
Task: Assembly of headrest's plastic parts together with pressing metal
sleeves into the plastic parts.
We delivered the machine to the customer within 15 weeks.
We had to cope with the following problems:
• there were different sized overflows on the plastic workpiece.
• some sleeves can be defective,
• To minimize time for assembly and inspection of the workpiece,
• to comply with high safety requirements for the operator and the
process.

Station for assembly of seats for premium
cars:
Goal: introducing a new branch of manufactured parts in an automotive
factory.
We delivered a machine:
• automatically performing 19 assembly steps,
• controlling the correctness of the assembly process at every stage.
We achieved:
• the possibility of assembling 60 product references with a single
machine,
• information exchange with the client's external database,
• full automation of the assembly process.
19. Goal: reducing the amount of defective products in the further stages of
production by building a stack and preparing for the further transportation
process.
We delivered a station with a strength of over 10 tons, supporting several stack
construction types.
We achieved a 17% reduction in defective products compared to the
corresponding period by using our machine.

20. Goal: speeding up the processing of bearing plates.
We delivered stations for automatic processing of bearing plates:
• using an actuator to hold parts in the gripper on the air slide table,
• with parallel processing of 2 parts, while performing other parallel
operations,
• equipped with 8 drill heads and 4 die heads.
We achieved a reduction in the processing time of bearing plates from 180
seconds to 8 seconds - 22,5 times faster as compared with the previous
solution.

21. Goal: increasing the factory's production capacity.
We provided:
• a machine comprising a complete work area with two
workstations: assembly and inspection,
• two workstations (assembly and inspection) comprising their
own electrical cabinet with one PLC,
• a safety barrier for each workstation.

Glovebox complete:

Goal: delivering machines for the assembly of 12 different GLOVEBOX
product references.
We provided:
• 4 machines with a system of interchangeable assembly sockets
and Zebra GT420T printers,
• 12 sockets adapted for the assembly of dedicated product types.
We saved space in the production hall: we delivered 4 compact
machines that had all the functionalities specified by the client,
instead of 12 requested. Through the interchangeable socket system,
the project was less expensive to implement: using our expertise, the
client saved 240 000 €.
23. Goal: reducing the amount of NOKs by increasing the precision of
acoustic fleece adhesion.
We delivered a semi-automatic machine with a system of 4
interchangeable precision sockets for soft materials application.
We achieved a 59% reduction in NOKs as compared with the previous
process. For the frequent replacement of sockets, we have
significantly simplified the system so that replacements take little
time.

24. Goal: modernization of the machine to reduce the amount of NOKs
and to shorten the process time.
We supplied a very fast machine that applies adhesive accurately to
more than 20 product references without changing tools. Additionally,
Additionally, the adhesion process is constantly monitored.
We achieved a 25% reduction in cycle time while reducing NOKs by
30% as compared with the previous technology. The use of a laser
sensor made it possible to detect all deficiencies.

– in diameter 1 mm:

25. Goal: optimization of the work of the employee responsible for drilling
in rubber gaskets.
We delivered a drilling machine with a drilling precision of +/- 0,2
mm. Additionally, it is equipped with two semi-automatic feeders.
The machine made it possible to achieve an increase in production by
400%. The operator's time utilization has been increased from 30% to
100%. Currently the operator is only loading or unloading sockets.

26. Goal: gaining full control of the correctness of the part assembly
process on the production line.
We delivered a very fast control station, which requires less than 100
seconds to check more then 100 components. The machine has been
equipped with a precise and advanced vision system to make the
check accurate. In order to increase the quality of the machine's work
and reduce the cost for the client, a "cobot" robot cooperating with
the vision system was used.
Thanks to the full final inspection, the client can be sure that they will
deliver 100% OK items.

27. Goal: automation of the assembly process of hydraulic couplings.
We replaced the work of two standard machines with one automatic
machine. The machine has been equipped with 2 cameras (Keyence vision
vision system) so that during the entire assembly process it is possible to
check the correctness of the part assembly.
By combining the vision system with automatic operation, there is no
possibility of delivering a defective part.

• with the function of accurate leak testing (ATEQ system),
• controlling mechanical accuracy of the parts up to 0,05 mm.

30. ThermoSafety

Designed and created safety system, the task of which is to ensure
the safety of people in workplaces involving robots and production
machines.
The task of the system is to detect and make decisions - based on
artificial intelligence - pertaining to the operation of a machine in a
close proximity to a human worker. When other robots are installed
nearby, such as AGV trucks, the work of the machine is not to be
interrupted, but rather adapted to the situation.
Currently, such an AI-based security system does not exist
commercially.
31. In the case of the developed technology, data from LIDAR
sensors, RGB + D, and IMU, as well as from GPS will be analyzed
by artificial intelligence. Thanks to said approach, the mower itself
will make decisions about its path, ways to avoid obstacles, and
methods of avoiding places not covered with grass.
The mower will perform all the calculations by itself - it will not
need Internet connectivity.

32. Leak detector

Unitem Sp. zo. o., creates an innovative technology allowing for
quick leak detection that is based on artificial intelligence.
Current technologies available on the market require test objects to
be filled to detect leaks. In the case of large facilities, it can be a
time-consuming task.
The designed system can significantly reduce the time of leak
testing, which will contribute to the improvement of production lines
in the case of which it is necessary to control tightness.
