With more than 40 years’ experience and artisan heritage, David McCarty
continues the legacy of manufacturing world renowned pieces of objet d’art
designed to inspire, excite and delight their discerning clientele.
From their UK manufacturing base, skilled craftsmen combine traditional
handed down skills with the best manufacturing technology to create the
most fabulous treasures created with passion, precision and pride.
David McCarty offers a truly discrete, personal service guiding clients
through the initial stages of conceptual design, through manufacturing to
final delivery.
Their client base focuses on long standing relationships in the Middle East,
specialising in hand crafted finest objets d’art, medals and jewellery, in a range
of materials from silver to 18ct gold and platinum, often enhanced with the
use of certified precious and semi-precious stones.
They offer a bespoke design and alterations service, all clients are welcome to
their workshops to discuss their individual requirements and experience the
creation of their individual piece.

and dress regalia to individual client

7. Our Team
David McCarty - Founder and Chairman
• Learned his trade training and working at Cartier for 14 years
• Established David McCarty Goldsmiths in 1973
• A goldsmith by trade, David has created exceptional pieces of objet
d’art from photo frames to exquisite model boats and helicopters
• David pioneered the use of electronics within goldsmithing creating
working masterpieces ranging from motorised model boats to
rotating clocks
• Winner of the prestigious Cartier Award in 1979 for his serpent
egg which was purchased by a Head of State
• Honoured as a Liveryman of the Goldsmiths’ Company for his
contribution to the industry
• Over the years formed long standing relationships with worldwide
clients, many of which continue to this day
• David still enjoys working on the bench creating flawless
masterpieces alongside his son Paul and daughter Clare, who now
run the business alongside him
Paul McCarty - Production Director
• Joined the family business in 1996 with a degree in Computing
and Business from Oxford
• Completed his apprenticeship and awarded Freeman of the
Goldsmiths’ Company in 2001
• Won three First Awards and theTop Apprentice Award for pieces
he hand crafted
• Paul is now Production Director responsible for orders, production
and technological aspects of goldsmithing
• Paul is merging traditional skills with new technology to create
unique, bespoke pieces quicker and more efficiently, such as the use
of PUK welding, laser welding, CNC milling and engraving

8. Clare McCarty - Sales and Marketing Director
• Joined the family business in 1995 with a degree in Social
Anthropology from Edinburgh University
• Clare spent two years in the workshop gaining an insight into
production procedures and manufacturing utilising different
materials and techniques
• Clare has a special interest in gemology and is highly experienced
in selecting precious stones from the very best worldwide sources
• Clare is Sales and Marketing Director responsible for sales
and design, working with clients throughout the world to create
bespoke, exquisite pieces

9. Every single piece created by David McCarty Goldsmiths follows the
same in house, hands on process.
Artist concept and CAD design
Traditional illustrative concepts from our design team are converted to CAD
production ready templates and following approval are transferred to the
manufacturing process.
Manufacturing process
Our craftsmen use a wide variety of traditional and technological processes to
nurture your special piece from raw material to a precision work of art with
one off attention to detail or assured series production accuracy.
Finishing
Careful, loving hand finishing with a great appreciation for the raw material
and how best to enhance it and protect its longevity.
Presentation
The finishing touch – carefully selected presentation boxes (works of art in
their own right) are fastidiously dressed with the final piece, with no detail
left untouched and our experience will ensure its safe transportation and
guaranteed delight upon delivery.

Renowned for electronic innovation McCarty now embrace PUK welding,
laser welding, CNC milling and engraving to manufacture more consistently
