COMMUNICATION
By Katie Hacker
ANALYZE THE LEARNER
The classroom consists of 21 students in the second grade. 9 males and 12
females. 15 Caucasian students, 4 African American students, and 2 Asian
American students.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
My students will be able to communicate on a second grade level. Which includes
being easily understood, Answering more then just yes or no, asking and
answering the ‘Wh’ questions, identifying sight words, writing legibly, and using
correct spelling. They will be able to wright a short paper about one of their
classmates and be ab le to read it to the class, with 80% accuracy.
DAY BY DAY BREAKDOWN
First I will have them draw names and find out who they will be writing about.
We will then go over some basic sight words that could be used when they are
asking questions.
Each students will then write letters to their classmate as a Pen Pal.
They will do this everyday for a week and if any students have questions about
words, I will ad them the list of sight words that we go over. Possibly use them in a
spelling bee or test.
After a week of writing to each other they will collect their papers and write what
they think are the most imports things they learned about their classmate and read
it to the class.
